I can honestly say that in the past few weeks I have had people display such extraordinary acts of kindness towards me that I cannot help but pass it on! Kindness is contagious.
From my husband just calling me from work to say that he just wanted to hear my voice to a simple thank you from a grandchild makes me want to be and do better. Kindness is contagious.
It is becoming more and more rare to receive a thank you as so many have become captivated by an attitude of entitlement. Is it to our own demise because we have ceased to teach a whole generation, at an early age, to be grateful?
I have given and continue to give to the homeless and I notice two responses. Some are genuinely grateful for whatever you can give them, and others look at what is given as if to say, “Is that all?”
Wouldn’t it be awesome if kindness and being grateful was automatically wired into our DNA and to perform acts of kindness and being thankful would be as natural as breathing?
I challenge you! I dare you to make a decision to be that one who is kindhearted. Oh, I know that we may not receive kindness in return, but it is not about us anyway!
