About Me

Vera LeRay Warner

Author, Blogger, Motivational Speaker

Vera LeRay Warner has always believed that words have the power to touch a heart, lift a spirit, and remind someone that they are not alone. An author, blogger, short-story writer, ministry leader, and United States Air Force veteran, Vera writes from the heart and from the many experiences that have shaped her life.

Her love affair with words began long before she ever imagined becoming an author. As a young girl, she would ride the city bus downtown to the public library and return home carrying as many books as she could. More often than not, she had read every one of them long before they were due. Those books opened new worlds to her and planted seeds of imagination that would one day find their way onto the pages of her own stories.

During her nearly twelve years in the United States Air Force, Vera began writing poetry and short stories. What began as a creative outlet eventually became something much deeper—a way to share her faith, life experiences, lessons learned, laughter, struggles, and hope with others.

Over the years, Vera has written inspirational books, Bible studies, blog posts, poetry, and short stories. Her writings include Embracing the Love of the Father, Cultivate My Heart, The Making, Motivated by Love, and other works. Her Bible studies have traveled farther than she ever imagined, finding their way into the hands and hearts of people in the United States and other countries around the world.

Vera is also the Founder and CEO of In His Image Global Network, a Spirit-led ministry born from her desire to encourage, serve, and remind people of something she believes deeply: every life has value, every person matters, and God has placed purpose and destiny within each of us.
At heart, Vera is simply a woman who loves God, loves people, and loves telling stories. Whether through a book, a blog, a short story, a Bible study, or a simple conversation, she hopes her words leave people feeling a little more encouraged, a little more hopeful, and a little more aware of just how precious they are in the eyes of God.

If something she writes causes someone to smile, think, heal, hope, or believe again, then Vera considers those words well written and their purpose fulfilled.

I Remember When...

I remember when butter cookies were two for a penny and when taken from a big plastic see through canister with a set of tongs, were put in tiny brown paper bags. I remember gazing at big fat kosher dill pickles that sat on the counter at the corner store. They looked like miniature submarines swimming in a sea of their own juice and they only cost a nickel. I remember when a bag of potato chips only cost a nickel too and if you would smash them up before you opened the bag; those chips would last a long time. I remember…

I am one of those people who loves to see things get done. If you give me a job to do, I will get right on it and do whatever I can to see it through. Now, there is nothing wrong with overseeing a project through to completion and making sure that every step is…
