Woke Up This Morning

Have you ever awakened in the morning and found yourself just humming a tune that is playing in your head like a recording that is in repeat mode? It could be any song depending upon its source. For a couple of days, I was hearing the theme melody from Alfred Hitchcock presents…You see I had been binge watching some of the episodes from the 1950s and 60s. This morning, however, it was “This Is the Day that the Lord has Made.” I could hear the lyrics and all the instruments playing in my head repeatedly. I remember singing this song during church services, at bible studies, on Christian radio, and on cassette recordings. This song is a direct quote of Psalm 118:24 This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. There is beauty in hearing the word of God put to music. In fact, it is music for the soul! Before I knew it, I was thanking God for waking me up, for sustaining me…keeping me in His care and that I lacked nothing! Before I knew it, I was having my very own praise party. You know there is always a blessing in being grateful and an extra blessing in proclaiming it!

I remember quite a few years ago during one of our In His Image conferences in Heidelberg, Germany at the Mighty Warrior International Christian Center, a phenomenal occurrence! I had asked one of our intercessors, Mother Lewis to open the service with prayer. She walked up to the microphone and simply said, “Thank You Jesus”. She said it sincerely, and purposefully. She said it twice and the third time she said it something happened! The only way I can describe it is that it went into the very core of our being…It was as if the Lord himself reached down inside of us and pulled it out of us. I do not remember one person who did not respond to the Holy Spirit of God moving in us and through us. There was weeping and dancing and shouting and praise and worship. And there will be times like that again and it is happening right now even if there is only a worshipper of one! Thank you, Jesus! ‘Cuse me while I go praise!
